NETrekk WOW Factor... Episode #2 Wading staff tips & grips
The Grip & Tip System: More Than Just a Wading Staff
When most anglers look at a landing net, they focus on the hoop.
The frame.
The bag.
Maybe the handle.
At NETrekk, we believe the most overlooked parts of a fishing tool are often the ones that work the hardest.
That's why we engineered the Flex System's Grip & Tip components to do much more than simply support a net.
They're designed to improve stability, increase utility, enhance comfort, and help anglers overcome the challenges they encounter on the water and along the trail.
It Starts from the Ground Up
Every NETrekk Flex Staff, SureStride Staff, and Heritage Series staff begins with a rugged tungsten carbide tip.
Why tungsten carbide?
Because ordinary softer rubber tips wear out.
Rocky trails wear them down.
Rough riverbanks destroy them.
Gravel, ice, and hard surfaces shorten their lifespan.
Tungsten carbide provides a durable third point of contact that stands up to years of use while helping anglers maintain balance and confidence on difficult terrain.
Whether you're hiking into remote water, navigating a slippery shoreline, or wading through fast current, a reliable staff tip can make all the difference.
And when backcountry adventures present unexpected encounters with aggressive wildlife or snakes, having a sturdy staff in hand can provide an added measure of confidence.
Built for More Than One Type of Terrain
Of course, no single tip is ideal for every environment.
That's why NETrekk staff models include three interchangeable Multi-Terrain rubber tips designed to adapt to changing conditions, reduce rock noise, and improve stability at no extra charge!

Each tip incorporates an internal steel washer that prevents the tungsten carbide point from penetrating the rubber under heavy use.
The result is longer-lasting performance and reliable traction when you need it most.
For soft terrain, every staff system also includes a Mud Skirt that threads directly above the carbide tip.
The wider profile helps prevent the staff from sinking into mud, sand, or other soft bottoms, improving stability.
Whether you're crossing a muddy shoreline, walking a sandy reservoir edge, or exploring a silty riverbank, the Tips adapt to your preference and conditions.
Meet the Goat Grip

Now things start to get interesting.
At first glance, the Goat Grip appears to be a larger wading staff tip.
And it certainly excels in that role.
Its replaceable urethane hoof provides a larger footprint, offering enhanced stability when navigating slick rocks, uneven shorelines, and challenging terrain.
But that's only part of the story.
The Goat Grip was designed to maximize utility by serving multiple functions within the NETrekk Flex BYO System.
A Stable Staff Tip
The wider profile creates a confident third point of contact while hiking, wading, and traversing difficult terrain.
An Ergonomic Landing Grip
The Goat Grip threads directly over the carbide tip and creates a comfortable, ergonomic gripping surface when extending your net to land fish.
Those long-reach landing situations become easier, more controlled, and more comfortable.
A Lure & Fly Retriever
Perhaps one of its most unique functions is built directly into the hoof design.
The integrated retrieval groove allows anglers to follow a leader to a snagged fly or lure and work it free from branches, brush, or other obstacles.
With a fully extended staff, anglers can reach snags more than five feet away that might otherwise result in lost flies, lures, and frustration.
One accessory.
Multiple solutions.
That's the NETrekk approach
Noise Reduction
You may be concerned with the conventional wading staff hard tip banging on rocks and alerting your quarry before your fly hits the target. Rubber tips like the multi terrain tips and Goat Grip hoof provide a soft approach while keeping you sure footed and safe in the stream.
Comfort Matters Too
The Grip & Tip story doesn't end at the bottom of the staff.
Every point of contact was designed with real-world use in mind.
NETrekk wading staff models feature dual ergonomic EVA grips positioned to provide control and comfort whether you're hiking, wading, or landing fish.
The grips deliver a secure, non-slip feel even when wet while providing just enough cushioning for all-day use.
An added benefit is buoyancy.
The EVA material helps provide a slow-sinking characteristic if the staff or net is dropped into the water, giving anglers valuable time to recover it.
Likewise, the Flip & Dip Series, SureStride Staff, FlexStaff and Flex Reach telescopic handles utilize ergonomic EVA grips paired with faux cork handles and wrist straps for comfortable one- or two-handed operation.
Combined with NETrekk's included S-Carabiner retention system, every component is designed to stay comfortable, secure, and ready when needed.
The NETrekk WOW Factor
Most nets are designed to land fish.
Most staffs are designed to help you walk & wade.
The NETrekk Grip & Tip System was designed to do both, while adding capabilities you didn't know you needed.
Stable footing.
Improved balance.
Comfortable fish landing.
Lure retrieval.
Adaptability for changing terrain.
Because every component in the NETrekk Flex System should earn its place.
Not by doing one thing well
But by doing several things exceptionally well.
